Secretary General and Head Coach of Punjab Kabaddi Association (PKA) Tahir Waheed Jutt said in interview that Pakistan Kabaddi Federation (PKF)’s President Ch. Shafay Hussain, Secretary General Rana Muhammad Sarwar and Muhammad Basharat Raja, President PKA are playing vital role for the promotion of kabaddi in Pakistan. He said that it was a big honor for Pakistan to hold Kabaddi World Cup in 2020, where India, Germany, Australia, Canada, Azerbaijan, Sierra Leone, Kenya, England, Iran and host Pakistan took part. Pakistan won the final against arch rivals India after thrilling finish with 43-41.
Tahir Waheed said, “I really give credit to these three persons who played very vital role to hold this multinational mega event and from this Kabaddi World Cup Pakistan’s soft image put the reflection in the world to come Pakistan because Pakistan is a peaceful country.”
He said that due to Kabaddi World Cup, Pakistan got much boost in the game of kabaddi and this was the landmark event in the history of Pakistan. I congratulate Ch. Shafay Hussain, Rana Muhammad Sarwar and Muhammad Basharat Raja and Sports Board Punjab (SBP) to hold this mega event now every player of kabaddi getting a big opportunity.
Tahir also said that earlier no team wants to come Pakistan but these officials played vital role to bring international teams in Pakistan and to hold National Kabaddi Championship also.
Waheed Jutt also appreciated the role of PKA President Muhammad Basharat who is working day and night for the promotion of kabaddi.
He further said that we will hold Nankana Kabaddi Cup with Trans Media on 27th November where people from all over the world will come to watch this event. He said that the first cash prize will be Rs 7 lac, 2nd prize Rs 4 lac, 3rd and 4th prizes have been kept Rs 2 lac each, while stopper and best raider will be given Rs 1.50 lac cash prize each. The teams who will take part in the tournament included Badeshi Club, Royals Kabaddi Club, USA Royal Club, Jutt Club and Baba Fareed Shaker Club. He said that in Kartarpur a Kabaddi Tournament will also be organized.
Tahir Waheed hoped that kabaddi isour culture game and on behalf of PKA Secretary General and President we will fully utilize our efforts to promote kabaddi in Pakistan.
He also congratulated Faisalabad team to get first position, Lahore team for 2nd position and Bahawalpur 3rd position in Punjab Games held in Lahore.
