Sri Lanka won the Asia Cup 2022 final by outclassing Pakistan in every field of cricket. They beat Pakistan in fielding, catching, teamwork and batting.
In fact, in the match between Pakistan and Afghanistan, they were out of Asia Cup, but Naseem Shah’s training to hit sixes saved them.
Even after the defeat by India in their first match, no attention was given on the performance of the team. After defeating underdogs Hong Kong and super-fit India, they started thinking that they are champions. In the Super 4 match, Afghanistan nearly shattered this hope but after a nail-biting finish, Pakistan got some respect.

According to some rumours, the Super 4 match against Sri Lanka was fixed. It was expected that the final will be played between India and Pakistan, but when India was beaten by Pakistan in the Super 4 match it was difficult to bring as many fans as the organizers wanted, and Pakistan was forced to lose the match to Sri Lanka.
Before the final, Captain Babar Azam kept mentioning winning the toss. He said that the toss is important, and whoever wins it may have the other team bat first, which would improve the chances of winning the match. Ultimately, the opposite was proved in the final.
Early on in the final, teamwork was good, which allowed Pakistan to get Sri Lanka into the precarious position of 58 for five wickets. At this point, however, the Pakistan players started dropping catches and miss-fielding.

The Sri Lankan team, on the other hand, kept its nerves under pressure, and showed its class in every field of the game to win the match and the Cup.
