Former Test captain and renowned cricketer Javed Miandad has said that it is mandatory to hold sports in educational institutions, playgrounds should be set up to promote positive activities. He expressed these views at the Karachi Tapeball Premier League.
Speaking on the occasion of the drafting held at a local hotel, Miandad said that it is very important to provide sports opportunities to the youth, as in the past, sports should be held in schools and colleges once again.
In this way the new generation will avoid misbehavior and positive activities will be promoted, he said, adding that tape ball cricket has played an important role in promotion of the game and has given birth to many great players.
