A great honour for us that WT General Council approved this championship to Pakistan
President, Pakistan Taekwondo Federation (PTF), Lt Col (Retd) Waseem Ahmed Janjua said that Combaxx 4th Asian Open International Championship (G2) was a successful sports event and this was the first time in the history of Pakistan that over 100 volunteers and technical officials, 600 officials and athletes, 200 international demonstration teams were part of this mega event.
He said that players from Egypt, Pakistan, Iran, Jordan, Nepal, Bahrain, Iraq, Syria, Kuwait, Palestine, and members and international referees/officials, male/female, also took part in this event.Col Waseem said that it was a great honour for Pakistan that the World Taekwondo (WT) General Council approved this championship to Pakistan. He said, “I am thankful to Combaxx Sports, World Taekwondo Federation, Pakistan Sports Board and Ministry of Inter- Provincial Coordination (IPC) Minister Ehsan Ur Rehman Mazzari who came as chief guest and honored us for being here and made this event possible.
“I am especially thankful to Omar Saeed, CEO PTF and President SATA for their support.” He said that our sponsors had also played very vital role for holding this successful event and also Combaxx Sports, which is emerging this sports in Pakistan. “I am grateful to World Taekwondo President Dr Choue, who supported Pakistan athletes. For accommodating our athletes I appreciate Serena Hotel who was the hospitality partner with us. I am also thankful to all media for giving us fine coverage and highlighting and supporting Taekwondo,” Col Waheed added.
