National wrestler Inam Butt and captain of women’s cricket team Bismah Maroof lead the Pakistan contingent at the opening ceremony of Commonwealth Games 2022. President, Pakistan Olympic Association (POA) Lt Gen (r) Syed Arif Hasan nominated them as the flag-bearers for Pak contingent.
Inam, who has claimed various medals in Commonwealth Games and also bagged gold for Pakistan in the World Beach Games, has been nominated as one of the flag-bearers for the country.
Bismah, on the other hand, participated in her first Commonwealth Games. However, her services to the game of cricket in Pakistan have seen her earning the opportunity to lead Pakistan contingent in the global event.
