Pak deaf cricket team wins ODI series against Sri Lanka

Two teams win one each at T20 series

Excellent performance by the Pakistan deaf cricketers in Sri Lanka. They defeated the host team in the third ODI and won the series 3-0. In the last match of the series played in Hambantota, Sri Lankan team scored 206 runs for all. Pakistan team completed the target by 9 wickets. Captain Zaka Ahmed and Manzoor Khan scored half-centuries.

In the second T20 between the two teams played at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium Hambantota, Pakistan deaf team recorded seven wickets victory over Sri Lankan team to finish T20 series 1-all draw.

Earlier, in their first T20 fixture played at the same venue skipper Gimadu Malcolm scored a fine knock of unbeaten 73 as Sri Lanka defeated Pakistan by eight runs. Final scores: First T20: Sri Lanka 150 for 2 wickets in 20 overs (Dinuka Sachin 25, Gimadu Malcolm 73 not out, Rajitha Asanka 17, Manzoor Kahan 1/23, Zaka Ahamad 1/38).

Pakistan 142 for 4 wickets in 20 overs (Zaka Ahamad 53, Qamar Naveed 37, Nadeem 28 not out, M Waqas 12 not out, A.Kalep 1/28, Sachith Perera 1/22). Second T20: Sri Lanka deaf team 104 all out in 19 overs (Dinuka Sachin 38, Sampath Jayasinghe 15, Sachith Perera 18, Qamar Naveed 3/18, M.Shakeel 4/18).

Pakistan 105 for 3 wickets in 16.3 overs (Bilal Yousaf 37 not out, Basit Abbasi 21, Zaka Ahamad 16, Mansoor Khan 19 not out, Gimadu Malcolm 2/11, Sumudu Lanka 1/19.
