President Pakistan Cycling Federation Syed Azhar Ali Shah and General Secretary Moazzam Khan Klair at the 191st UCI Congress meeting held in Australia (Wanggong)
General Secretary Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) Moazzam Khan Klair said that he and President, PCF, Syed Azhar Ali Shah have attended the Union Cyclist International (UCI)’s 191st Congress meeting held in Australia (Wanggong). A large number of delegates attended the meeting from all over the world.
He said that UCI President David Lappartient and Asian Cycling Confederation (ACC) President Osama Ahmed Abdullah Al-Shaffar also participated in the meeting. He said that they ensured that they will definitely work on development and promotion of cycling in Pakistan as well as other countries of the region.
Moazzam Khan said that in the meeting both officials appreciated the PCF role in promotion of cycling in Pakistan and also ensured that they would definitely work on cycling especially on training in Pakistan in future which is very positive sign for Pakistan.
Moazzam said that UCI and ACC Presidents ensured to fully support to Pakistan related to cycle parts but for this Pakistan government and departments will have to play vital role. They further said that they will have to contribute in the game so that better result could be achieved.

The PCF general secretary said that in future the UCI and ACC will also allocate budget for Pakistan and different countries.
Moazzam Khan further said that we could get better results after receiving such funds and UCI will certainly appreciate us and I hope that our government and departments would fully support the PCF, so we can enlighten the name of Pakistan on national and international level.
He said that the PCF will provide the unique platform for the youth and young generation in cycling. The UCI President David Lappartient ensure that for youth and young generation, who want to come in the field of cycling, we will hold maximum competitions in near future to provide maximum opportunity for our male and female young cyclists.
Moazzam further said that the PCF will bring cycling at that level so the UCI and ACC could provide maximum opportunities to our young cyclists.
In the 191st Congress meeting both presidents said that If Pakistan want success in future they should provide their cyclists with international infrastructure like wooden tracks. They said that then we will be ready to allocate the Asian Cycling Championship in Pakistan and will provide PCF maximum budget and facilities in this regard.
Moazzam said that if I we get international infrastructure, we have a good chance to hold the Asian Cycling Championship in Pakistan. He said that PCF President Syed Azhar Ali Shah and our team played the positive role in 191st Congress meeting.
The PCF General Secretary said that in the World Cycling Championship our girl Maryam Ali performed very well and UCI also highlighted her performance which is very encouraging for us.
